G'iah is the daughter of the Skrull General Talos and his wife Soren. During the Kree-Skrull War Talos sent his wife with other refugees to safety with Mar-Vell, not knowing their location for their own safety. Mar-Vell him them in her Laboratory which was parked cloaked in Earth Orbit; Talos gave birth to G'iah there. When Mar-Vell was killed by the Kree, the Skrulls maintained her instructions not to send outside signals under any circumstances. They ended up spending six years there, while G'
