Shang's playstyle of a zoner character is not my personal cup of tea (which may be one reason I’m not super high on him,) but if you’ve got the knowledge to be comfortable morphing into your opponent and can make use of his added damage and extra krushing blows, Shang Tsung can be appropriately scary to play against.
