This delicious Syrah is from Saint-Joseph, located in the Northern Rhône Valley (the cuvée name means "Coppi's hooves," the vintner's grandfather's mule). This is a small-production wine from a garage winery that practices natural farming and wine production, ploughs the fields by horse, and uses amphorae for wine aging. This is a well-made wine, elegant yet burly (this is a Syrah after all), packed with dark berry flavor, firm tannins and loads of terroir. This is a wine you go back to, ponder and slowly enjoy. Certified Organic; Practicing Biodynamic; Minimal Sulpher.
